Rob Workman was raised in a musical family in Abbotsford, BC. The son of a band director, Rob found his passion for music-making at an early age, beginning with piano and wind instruments. During his undergrad at Trinity Western University, Rob proved himself to be a versatile musician, becoming involved in a myriad of musical opportunities. These included the TWU Concert Band and Orchestra (trombone, euphonium, tuba) and various musical theatre productions (string bass, accordion). He also founded Jazz Parliament Stage Band, where he enjoys playing the alto saxophone.
It was also at TWU that Rob discovered his love for choral music and conducting. In his second year of studies, he changed his major from trombone to voice and shifted his focus to the choral world. He has since found himself singing on stage with Pacifica Singers, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Belle Voci, and the National Youth Choir. Most recently, Rob landed a position singing with Polycoro in Winnipeg. Currently, Rob is pursuing his Master’s degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Manitoba.
